The mission of the SFA Organization for Women’s Leadership and Equity (OWLE) is to empower women and support women’s professional advancement while balancing our professional, personal, physical, and mental health demands and needs. The OWLE advocates for policies that support women staff and faculty by utilizing the unique perspectives of women and our shared experiences.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Vision

The OWLE seeks to:
a) Acknowledge and amplify the important contributions women faculty and staff make to our campus, to our community, and to our professional fields;
b) Expand and promote opportunities for women to engage in research, creative activity, and teaching excellence across all disciplines and fields;
c) Support women seeking to transition to and from leadership positions across campus and in their professional fields;
d) Create partnerships with administration, faculty and staff to address institutional practices/policies which support women and families
e) Work to retain high quality women faculty and staff
